ITALY - Castello di Querceto Chianti Classico

Castello di Querceto, a Gallo Nero member, is located in the in the commune of Greve in Chianti (north eastern part of Chianti Classico), in a small valley about 470 metres above sea level.

Vibrant, deep crimson/purple. What a beautiful nose - warm, bloody, minerally and aromatic florals too - violets and red roses - and then the richness of milk chocolate. Lithe and juicy in the mouth with a perfect measure of ever-so-slightly-grippy ultra fine tannins to keep things nicely savoury and balance the natural richness of the fruit.

Versatile food wine - bisteccca alla fiorentina; classic lasagne or slow-cooked beef shin.
