Island Belle Pinot Noir 2025
Red fruit, Cherry and Raspberry pips, crushed woody herbs. Waves of fruit, fine tannins and crisp acidity keeping everything in control and pushing it's length out in to the generous range.
Vineyard notes:
The 2025 growing season in south eastern Tasmania provided ideal conditions for flowering and fruit set, resulting in Pinot Noir crops being above the long term average.
The grapes were hand picked on 27th March.
Notably the 2025 Island Belle Pinot Noir was made using MV6 clone from both old vine and younger vine patches together with Dijon clone 115.
Individual parcels of fruit were fermented separately in three open fermenters with the inclusion of 25% of whole bunches and fermentation proceeding with only naturally occurring yeast and a total maceration period of three weeks.
The wine is beautifully poised with bright black cherry fruit on the nose and a textured palate which is layered with ripe berry fruits, stalky notes and sweet tannins which combine with fresh acidity to provide a gentle tension and lingering flavour.
