Two Paddocks Pinot Noirs
Winery : Two Paddocks
Proprietor and actor Sam Neill started modestly with plantings in Gibbston in 1993. In 1999 further vines were planted in Earnsclough and Alexandria, Central Otago's most southern sub-region. The purchase of Fusilier Vineyard in Bannockburn in 2013 added a fourth Central Otago site to the Two Paddocks real estate.
2021 Two Paddocks Pinot Noir: A blend of all Two Paddocks' estate vineyards in Alexandra, Gibbston and Bannockburn. Spice and orange rind, as well as black currant. The medium-weight framework works well with the red berry fruits and touches of savoury oak on the palate. Textured pinot noir.
2019/20 Proprietor's Reserve Last Chance Pinot Noir: Fruit is from the Alexandria vineyard.
2019/20 Proprietor's Reserve The Fusilier Pinot Noir: Situated in Bannockburn, the vineyard is named for Sam Neill's father who ran the family's wine merchant business Neill & Co.
