Craggy Range 2023 Te Muna Road Pinot Noir

Craggy Range's famed Te Muna Road Vineyard, established in 1998, is located some seven kilometres outside the Martinborough township. The vineyard consists of two distinct terraces, the higher comprising very old, stony clay-infused soils, perfect for pinot noir. 

Michele's notes: This is always such a seductive wine. Never too weighty, but supple, textured and layered in the mouth. Alluring aromas of spice and red cherry with roasted nuts and meatiness.

Bold and inviting bouquet with red and dark cherry with sweet spices, and savoury/umami notes of soy, roasted almond, and smoky bacon. Hints of wet stone and beetroot too. Lovely open texture with ever so slightly gritty tannins frame the fruit. The wine floats on the palate - no elbows or hard edges, just supple juiciness and a lovely glycerol flow.
