Michele's notes: Vibrant crimson with magenta hues. Typically exuberant bouquet, redolent of ripe dark cherries, raspberry brioche and sweet spices. Hints of white pepper, fennel and thyme drift through as the wine breathes.
The Pinots of this sub-region are notable for their soft textures and suppleness, this being an excellent example. It is a deliciously satisfying mouthful, the plump and persistent fruit offset by cleansing acidity and ultra-fine, slightly savoury tannins. The oak plays a perfect supporting role. Very more-ish, and it has just the right weight to be a versatile food partner.
