Terra Sancta 2017 Mysterious Diggings Pinot Noir
Winery : Terra Sancta
Mysterious Diggings is the junior Pinot in the fabulous range of Terra Sancta wines. Situated on the Cainmuir side of Bannockburn, the Diggings vineyard is planted on a high, rocky outcrop. It is one of the highest vineyards in Bannockburn, with a slope of about 10%. Soils are characterized by gravels and sandy loam and produce wines of a more delicate weight than the rest of the Terra Sancta range, and are therefore accessible earlier.
A vibrant Central Otago Pinot from the classy Bannockburn 'dress circle'. Really pretty and bouncy perfume of spicy David Austin roses blended with blackcurrant jelly and sweet dark cherries. Bright fruit flavours continue in the mouth; there's a refreshing/cleansing acid line and dry savouriness on the finish.
