Villa Trasqua's Chianti Classico sports the Gallo Nero, which means it is part of the consortium of producers who aim to guarantee quality. Villa Trasqua was first planted in 1965. The estate encompasses olive groves, woods and arable land.

This is a really juicy Chianti, not dominated by oak but supple with soft tannins. The aromas are classically of clove, cherry and anise and in the mouth the rich, sweet fruit comes through, beautifully tempered by dry, slightly savoury finish.
