FRANCE - Reine Juliette 2022 Picpoul de Pinet

From Coteaux du Languedoc, South of France, and in sight of oyster farms, Picpoul de Pinet is as perfect a beverage as you might find for any seafood, particularly shellfish.

Picpoul de Pinet is an ancient vine. It fell from favour in the C20th with barely 500ha under cultivation until a revival of interest saw it again established as a very useful variety for coastal areas because of its tolerance for growing on sand.  It has the raciness of Loire Muscadet but with a touch more fragrance and fruit ahead of a savoury finish.
