Delamere Pinot Noir Sampler

MIXED SAMPLER SIX contains 2 x 2023 Flyleaf, 2 x 2023 Delamere and 2 x 2022 Delamere Pinots

Co-owners and winemakers Fran Austin (GT Wine Young Winemaker of the Year Vintage 2005) and Shane Holloway embarked on their Delamere Vineyard project in 2011, after purchasing it from Richie Richardson who had planted the first vines at Pipers River in 1982.

2023 Delamere Flyleaf Pinot Noir: Flyleaf is the junior in the Delamere range, but it sure packs a vibrant punch of flavour. Brightly hued, lively bouquet of cherry fruit, rhubarb, floral notes, herbs, and spice. Super tasty and zippy in the mouth, with ultra-fine grape skin tannins to finish.

2023 Delamere Pinot Noir: Complex fruit and savoury aromas of plum, dark cherry, blackberry, wet earth, clove spice, beets and bresaola. Terrific mouthfeel, there's already plenty of velvet. Layers and layers of flavour but also weightless. This is, in part, the old vine effect. Essential fruit sweetness and acidity work together, complemented by subtle oak handling.

2022 Delamere Pinot Noir: Briar fruits, minerally/flinty notes, dried porcini mushrooms, soy and a hint of resin - the subtle aromas open and become more complex with breathing. Juicy and lip-smacking with a perfect balance of old vine fruit and barely-there oak. Silky.
